Massive compressive goitre
John recently removed a 667 gm thyroid affected with multinodular goitre which was causing severe compressive symptoms. The surgery was highly successful and the patient, a 52 year old man, reports a huge reduction in pressure symptoms, better sleep and easier breathing. His neck now looks much more normal in contour. Parotidectomy
I recently performed a successful parotidectomy on a patient from outside of Auckland who travelled here to specifically have her surgery by me. The procedure went well and there were no complications. I reviewed her last week and her pathology was not reported by the laboratory prior to the appointment.
